Cuban Portraits – Women

A clerk working on the most touristy street in Old Havana.

I have a whole series of laundry-on-balcony pictures, but this lady didn’t have any laundry.

A lunch counter in Central Havana.

A woman selling flowers, candles and cigars.

A fashion statement on Callejon de Hamel on our Sunday visit to that street.

Such very good happenstance portraits. A real vivacity, and singularly characterful.

  2. Lovely post ❤️❤️

Just to give you a hug xx How have you been?

Thank you Inese. And a hug back. I’m doing okay – a second round of six x 3 weeks chemo is now over and I hope that means I can enjoy December and Christmas with a bit more energy. I also have had a couple of complications, one fixed with a medication and another – a stent in my ureter – is being removed tomorrow to see if I really need it anymore – has caused a UTI and loss of energy. I don’t know if I ever mentioned that my partner has Alzheimer’s – but I have recently engaged a care worker to take him on excursions for 4 1/2 hours twice a week and that has given immense mental relief.

Merry Christmas and keep those blogs coming!

Hope you don’t need the stent any more. Fingers crossed.
No I don’t think you have ever mentioned you partner’s Alzheimer’s… Is there any charity organisation around to give you another couple of hours? You have to be alert 24/7 I guess. What a tragedy. But focus on your physical health first. One step at a time. You will get your energy back, hopefully by Christmas you will feel much better. Wishing you a Merry Christmas, and a steady improvement of your health ❤
