Monochrome Macau

Here’s a selection of photos from Macau which, I thought, looked better in monochrome. ┬áThe better to show off the smog in the first two photos.

My partner and I decided to forego the temptation of the casinos in Taipa, and the swimming pool at the hotel, and walk into the commercial centre of Taipa. At the pharmacy below we finally found aspirin, which we had been unable to figure out how to buy since Shanghai! It wasn’t quite dark, but it was smoggy and the buildings were tall so the lights are already on. The boys??? Well, make up your own mind.

Sold Out – Inherit the Wind

In addition to my photography assignment for Inherit the Wind staged in Charlottetown, PEI, at Trinity United Church over three nights and one matinee, I worked “front of house” for three of the shows. It was disappointing having to turn people away – we sold out every performance – but thrilling to know the show was such a success.

I shot the cast and crew photo after the curtain call on Sunday afternoon. Here are closeups of three sections of the whole group.

Cast and crew (a costumer and the set builder) and including AG who played Bert Cates the defendant in the trial.

Work on ACT’s next play, Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing┬áhas already started. Tonight there is a public play reading for anyone who might be interested. I will be taking my camera along.
