Painting Treat

Two huge commitments of time and energy have ended recently. In September I completed five years on the Board of ACT (a community theatre.) This summer I produced a ‘Shakespeare in the park’ version of Hamlet, and have only one or two tasks left.
So, having some ‘spare’ time, I treated myself to a six week watercolour / journaling art course.  I spent this morning  happily recording what I found on a walk in the Macphail Park Woods on Friday.  What a treat to immerse oneself in a creative activity.

The page below was done at the course on Friday morning. I haven’t mastered whatever watercolour technique it requires to get red veins on a green leaf!

Confederation Trail – Uigg Colours

Confederation Trail, Uigg

Today, just pretty pictures of the sort of fall colours we get on PEI.
Photos taken between Uigg and East Uigg on the Confederation Trail, one month before the date of this posting.

By the time the yellows are at their peak, the reds are fading fast.
