      Nature is amazing and will re-colonize anywhere given half a chance. You, had to admire some of these trees for their sheer tenacity.

  5. all of the photos are splendid, but i absolutely love the second to last one (partly because it taps into my fear of heights…in a good way)

    Thank you. There were very safe walkways and bridges around and over the watercourse so I wasn’t doing anything dangerous. The second one was perhaps the least safe. I did wonder how much longer that dead tree in the second last would hang on – probably not past the next winter.
