It’s the day we got a constitution!!!! Lol Canada is the best evverrr

    • BuntyMcC says:

Well, no, not in Canada. We didn’t get a ‘constitution’ until very recently. In 1867 Canada achieved a peaceful separation from Britain and became a Dominion, but inherited her laws and parliamentary system. What created Canada was an ACT of the British Parliament – the British North America Act – which set out national and provincial powers.

I think somewhere along the line we got in a confusion I was just making the happy remark that Canada Day is the celebration of our Constitution πŸ™‚

Canada Day (French: FΓͺte du Canada) is the national day of Canada. A federal statutory holiday, it celebrates the anniversary of the July 1, 1867 enactment of the Constitution Act, 1867.

That is why everyone has been saying the big 149 πŸ™‚

Anyway my bad if it was read wrong, hope you had a great one! πŸ™‚
