Manhattan Monday 38 – Wild Edibles

We did stop to eat when in Manhattan!

In fact we’ve been to Wild Edibles twice – once in 2015 and once in 2014. We ate at their old location on 3rd Avenue near East 35th Street which, according to Yelp, is now closed. They also have a seafood market and a wholesaler and, according to the web site, a new restaurant location, but with a rather different menu.

Coming, as we do, from Atlantic Canada, with fish and shellfish fresh and readily available, we don’t often go to fish restaurants when we travel. They just don’t stack up.

I had sardines for an appetizer – something I had not eaten for years.

We split a larger fish for our main course but I’m ashamed to say I don’t remember what it was. Sea bass?

One fish, half gone.
