Painting Treat

Two huge commitments of time and energy have ended recently. In September I completed five years on the Board of ACT (a community theatre.) This summer I produced a ‘Shakespeare in the park’ version of Hamlet, and have only one or two tasks left.
So, having some ‘spare’ time, I treated myself to a six week watercolour / journaling art course.  I spent this morning  happily recording what I found on a walk in the Macphail Park Woods on Friday.  What a treat to immerse oneself in a creative activity.

The page below was done at the course on Friday morning. I haven’t mastered whatever watercolour technique it requires to get red veins on a green leaf!

What a fun treat! I’d love to have some little tiny bit of talent for drawing or painting but alas, not so!

  2. Wow, how beautiful what you made (and so well!) and wow, how great you produced a Shakespeare in the park! Good for you you have some more spare time now for other nice things… you clearly have a creative talent!

Thanks Noortje, one of my ‘problems’ is that I have too many interests to develop expertise in any of them – except perhaps in producing for amateur theatre! I posted a few photos from Hamlet back in August…

What a lovely sounding course! I would love to do a course like that! 🙂

  4. Aren’t you clever! Shakespeare in the Park … well done! Love the leaf …

4th year in a row -twice as producer(Macbeth, Hamlet) once as asst. producer, (Much Ado About Nothing) four times as house photographer.
Some of the Hamlet photos are in my Sept 6 post. Other theatre pictures can be found by searching the ‘theatre’ category.
      Thanks for commenting, Julie.
