Manhattan Monday 8

This is the second in a series of photos from the top of the “Hop On, Hop Off” bus on its route through downtown and midtown Manhattan. I love the external fire escapes that form part of the streetscape in this neighbourhood.

The only camera I took into the city this time was the Sony RX100III. It was perfect for this bus-top shooting of facades and street corners.

I think it’s great if you don’t know a city and only have a short time there – we did it in Dublin when we only had two days. But since it was our fourth trip into NYC it was a bit of a mistake. The tour of Brooklyn was great, because we hadn’t been there. Midtown, not so much.
