Waitress in Motion

Just under the wire again this week for the WordPress Daily Post Photo Challenge – this time on Motion.  You can see the other entries here.

Motion in the picture was a complete fluke. I was looking for a shot to show off the Row House Lobster Co decor (below) when the waitress appeared with an order. Due to the painfully slow shutter speed on my phone, the motion is quite pronounced.

Captain Cow was the Burger Love burger we had today at noon – the last day of PEI’s fifth annual Burger Love event.  And, a tie for my favourite burger of the month:  5oz. fennel-infused Island beef, lemon aioli, arugula and cilantro mix, corn salsa slaw, sauted portobello in duck fat, goat cheese, and deep fried duck scrunchions on a traditional grilled bun, garnished with pickled lemon and a lobster lollipop.  The lemon notes, the very flavourful mushrooms, and the melt-in-your-mouth chèvre (goat cheese) won me over and the lobster and duck bits didn’t hurt either.

Honestly, it did look like this!

When the burgers were served, I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo of the burger itself.  The little basket held a side of French fries and the bowl a side of salad. The only thing not eaten was the lemon peel!

Can you tell we liked it?

I do have one more Burger Love post to come.

  1. Is it just wrong to want that for breakfast?

  2. Again, your burger description made me hungry. I do that too … eat and forget to take the picture.

Yes, they do a good job of tempting you to come eat each and every one of the 60 burgers on offer. The one with the ice cream sandwich “bun” and the one with two 9 oz patties did put me off though.

  3. great image, of a busy restaurant!
