Serenity = No Wind

Serenity. Stubble in fields.

Serenity. Stubble in fields.

In Canadian Geographic’s Ultimate Quiz Notebook “Know Your Canada,” Question # 18 asks: “In what province do students lose the most time due to stormy winter weather.”

Drum roll please!  (Rat a tat a tat)  The answer is Prince Edward Island.

PEI has wind all year round and in winter it blows the snow around to such an extent that ploughs cannot keep up. So school gets cancelled again, and again, and again.

But Saturday, we went for a walk. It was minus 3 Celsius and THERE WAS NO WIND!  Grateful for small mercies.
