Even though the house was abandoned, the grounds were neat and the lawn had been mowed, The prettiest honeysuckle (Lonicera) I have ever seen was blooming in one corner and day lilies were arranged beside an outbuilding.

Two huge shrubs – one is on the right of the photo with the sunroom – had set seed. If anyone knows what they are, please add a comment below.

Next to the drive was this abandoned piece of farm machinery, perhaps too far gone to include with the collection of old farm implements at Orwell Corner Historic Village.
