There is an old, oddly shaped building on the waterside of the street along the shore – the only building on the shore on this side of the wharf. And no wonder there are no other houses there! It has been swamped by storm tides! Nonetheless it continues to house one of Victoria’s older residents.

One end of the building was once a workshop.  Pardon the reflected elbow!

Diagonally across the street from the red building was this yard of scrap metal. Definitely not a typical Victoria scene.

At the opposite end of the spectrum is the bright, welcoming Orient Hotel.  That’s the PEI flag in the foreground and a poster advertising all the celebrations this summer.
