The Oriental Pearl Tower obscured by the Shanghai International Convention Centre.
Before lunch at a HUGE dining room in the district of Pudong, we were turned loose to walk around for about half an hour.
After cutting through a side street beside the Pearl Tower, and a parking lot, we found the modern, attractive Pudong Riverside Promenade.
Looking southwest from Pudong across the Huangpu River.
Looking northwest from Pudong across the Huangpu River.
Looking straight across the river from Pudong at The Bund and the buildings behind it.
There was a constant flow of barge traffic on the river and it was fairly obvious that people were living on them; witness the laundry hanging by the back cabin.
The fishing was good there too!
A heron with its lunch.
Beautiful yellow feet.
